Louisiana Swamp Burger



This tangy and spicy Swamp Burger will take you to the bayou in Louisiana. This burger is full of Creole goodness. It's made with ground beef, pork, and andouille sausage, seasoned with Cajun spices, and topped with pepper jack cheese.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 lb ground andouille sausage
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced celery
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp hot sauce
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices pepper jack cheese
  • Lettuce and tomato slices for garnish
  • Vegetable oil for grilling

Instructions:

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, and andouille sausage

Add breadcrumbs, diced onion, bell pepper, celery, minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, and hot sauce to the meat mixture

Mix until well combined

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking

Grill the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness

During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and allow it to melt

Toast the burger buns on the grill until they are lightly browned

Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce and tomato slices on the bottom bun, followed by a cheese-topped patty, and then the top bun
