Slow Cooker Cheesy Potato Casserole
A comforting and rich cheesy potato casserole that is cooked slowly in a crockpot to make potatoes that are creamy and full of flavor.
Ingredients:
- 6 potatoes, peeled and sliced thinly
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped chives or green onions for garnish optional
Instructions:
Put melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl and mix them together with sour cream and cream of chicken soup
In the bottom of the slow cooker, put half of the sliced potatoes
Add half of the diced onions and half of the cheddar cheese shreds to the potatoes
Put half of the sour cream mix on top of the cheese
Add more layers with the rest of the cheese, sour cream, onions, and potatoes
If you set the setting to high, it will take 34 hours, but on low, it will take 68 hours
For a decorative touch, you can sprinkle chopped chives or green onions on top before serving
